The dhs gold arc 8 is a completely different beast compared to the big dipper 5. While the big dipper is a "hybrid" (tacky chinese top + bouncy sponge), the gold arc 8 is a pure "tensor" rubber.
Although it carries the dhs (chinese) brand name, it is actually manufactured in germany (esn). This means it feels much more like high-end european or japanese rubbers (such as butterfly tenergy or donic bluefire) than a traditional chinese rubber.

Probably didn't understand this pad. Although, I played with many (Vega X, BigDipper, Hurricane 8, Jupiter ASIA). Yes, a very popular pad with a lot of praise in reviews. In my experience: after a year, the topsheet dried out (lost grip), although I played with it less often than others, always kept it in the bag and didn't leave it in the sun. Speed - medium, rotation initially good. Weight in trimming: 47 gr.

Universal pads: control in the block, also rotates well, the arc turns out to be of high quality. But it seemed to me that these pads are not very fast, but I can't say for sure because I don't have much experience in the game to evaluate.
